Mindsets of Learning: Introduction
Designing instruction that aligns to student ability levels is essential to maximize learning in the classroom. When instruction is taillored to each student's needs, new knowledge and skills are acquired more effectively. Instruction is individualized to build upon each learner's specific areas of development. Danielson (2007) states, "An advanced skill in the design of instructional activitiesis to create opportunities, in the same task, for students of varying skill and knowledge to find appropriate challenge" (p. 57).
