Instruction

Aligned instruction comprises the following activities:

  • Teaching topics that are aligned with the standards.
  • Ensuring the right level of challenge.
  • Focusing teaching based on the learning needs of each student.
  • Implementing instructional strategies to increase student achievement.

In addition to various Instructional Strategy resource documents, a series of videos highlighting particular instructional strategies is available on the Instruction tab.  Utilizing the Search Videos tool allows users to search by Keyword, Grade Level and Subject Area, or by Course.  Users can also use the checkboxes to filter the search by specific Instructional Practices.   Clicking the View Details button provides users with a summary Description of the video content, as well as the Length of each Video.
